Here is a little treat that is perfect for the holiday season and cooking with kiddos! I got some eggroll wrappers to try and made something else with them and had so much leftover. I also had a little snack pack lying around from travels or having the kids over. I had a brilliant idea — lets make candy canes!
I decided to dip the finished product in pizza sauce and leave it off the candy cane. I think that was a good idea. This was so simple, festive and easy! You could add green pepper strips to make them extra festive!
I think I am going to try this with my Christmas tree cookie cutter next! This would be perfect for a charcuterie board or just a little snack. Do you use your cookie cutters for more than cookies? Full recipe to follow the montage.

Pizza Candy Canes
Eggroll wrappers
Pepperonis
Sliced mozzarella cheese
non stick spray
Candy can shaped cookie cutter
pizza sauce for dipping
Preheat oven to 375. Slice the cheese and pepperoni into matchsticks. Cut candy cane shapes out of the eggroll wrappers. Place foil on a baking sheet and spray. Place candy canes on the sheet and top with cheese and pepperoni one after the other to resemble candy cane stripes. Bake in the oven for 7-10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve with pizza sauce for dipping.
This will also work with tortillas!
Happy Cooking!
