Recapping the weekend- So many highs and lows

Hi friends, Happy Tuesday!  I hope those that had a long weekend enjoyed it and spent some time reflecting on the love for one another and peace Martin Luther King tried to spread.  I had a wild weekend and still very sad about that Saints loss.  We were robbed.  Let's get into it!  Linking up with Biana for Weekending and Lindsay et al for Hello Weekend.

Friday was a big pep rally day for the Saints and we got let out of work early to start the weekend! I won a contest on Instagram over Christmas for a free set of lash extensions and decided to get them.  Veronica at Mariposa Salon did such a great job! I am obsessed with them but not sure if I can keep up that expensive habit!

But wow they look great.  Ignore my allergy eyes!
I got my house Mardi Gras ready by decking out my mantle and then headed to my sister's house to watch her three girls.  We had pizza, painted our nails and watched Ramona and Beezus, it was such a great night with my little cuties!

We were careful on Mom's countertops!

How cute are they all snuggled with Ginger?!
Saturday I cleaned the you know what out of my bathroom and ran errands.  It was time to costume up for a couples costume party for a couple who are high school friends of mine.  Gentleman Caller and I decided to dress as Game of Thrones Characters, Khaleesi/Daenerys Targaryen/Mother of Dragons and Jon Snow.

People did not recognize me with those eyebrows!

Love my high school friends!
Gentleman Caller is going to be mad I posted this!
Sunday we drove over to Biloxi to watch the Saints and spend the night at the Beau Rivage Casino Resort.  I was glad we could drown our sorrows in black jack after that awful Saints loss.  I am still reeling!

I at least got to have a beer I love that I can never find anywhere!

We were not in the mood to celebrate and instead had pad thai, watched Jason Borne and HGTV since we don't have cable and just relaxed.  That is when you know you are almost 40!

Monday I did some blogging catch up and sorted items for our fundraiser garage sale we are having this weekend.  All the proceeds will go to Sweet Swine O Mine's efforts at Hogs for the Cause, which raises money for families of children with pediatric brain cancer.

Did you see that horrible call that probably cost us a trip to the Superbowl?  How was your weekend?  See you back tomorrow with some yummy food!

Happy Cooking!

Missy
